Princess Tiana Missing In Action This Christmas
Princess Tiana was missing in action this Christmas. She was in demand by little Black girls all across the country and every parent, grandparent and auntie was coming up empty trying to find her on retail shelves. What was up with that??
I personally went to about four different locations looking for it for my six-year old and came up empty. Store managers were dumbfounded themselves as they saw potential revenue in a recession walking out the door empty handed.
Was it just poor planning, underestimating the demand for a Black princess or something deeper. I don't know either way, but it does make you go hmmmm...
